Parenting is Overrated

Kid #3 became obsessed with this show a few weeks ago and we thought no biggie. Since then she has grown out of it and replaced this obsession with the internet (don't worry, we have it child-proofed, unlike the rest of the house).

Kid #4 somehow got sucked into the vortex of Sporticus, Stephanie and Robbie Rotten. All we have to say is "Lazytown" and he runs to the living room, jumps into the recliner, and screeches until you force the DVR to play the same episode again.

It has some sort of hypnotic effect on him. He sits there like a zombie for 28 minutes or so until the credits start rolling. Then he runs to you, remote in hand, and screeches until you hit replay.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some acid tripping, singing and dancing on TV. That's why my favorite kids show is Yo Gabba Gabba. But this really throws me over the edge.



Robbie Rotten is a fucking creep. His hair looks about as gross as mine (see the no 'poo posts if you don't get it) and his chinplant make me want to cry. It's hard to look at the TV when he comes on. I want to hide behind the couch.



Sporticus is a hottie. He has that thick accent where you can't quite understand what he's saying, but that's okay because you really don't care. Plus, he's really bendy and that's always a plus!



Stephanie is kind of a bitch. She had the balls to tell her uncle that if he didn't get his girlfriend a good gift for her birthday that she wouldn't ever speak to him again. One day I hope that Sporticus will punch her in her throat. Or maybe her uncle could just tell her the get the fuck out of Lazytown. He is the mayor after all.

Well, it's about time to hit replay so I can get some cleaning done. I suppose I should be thanking the creeps instead of slamming them. They do give me a 28 minute break.
